US Bank
Worst Customer Service - Online payment

Processing on line payments is a relatively easy and pain free process for all of us, at least I thought it was. I have been making on line payments to a vehicle loan account with US Bank since April without incident. However, I noticed when doing this the site does not offer a confirmation number or any other way to verify I have submitted my payment. August 10 rolls around and a phone call from a US Bank rep informing me that they had not received my payment yet threw me off as I always pay 3 days prior to the due date. I immediately went on line and resubmitted after verifying that the funds had not posted to the account of which I made the payment. August 15 rolls around and yet another call from a US Bank rep informing me yet again that they had not received my payment. I logged into their web site reviewed the account and they withdrew the funds on both of my attempts to pay and then reversed the payments. The US Bank rep I finally spoke to about the problem states that the routing number and account numbers had been transposed, hence unable to withdraw the funds. IF SHE KNOWS THIS WHY WASNT I ALREADY INFORMED PRIOR TO THEM NAILING ME WITH LATE FEES??? She was "agast" at my mere mentioning of this fact and ensured me that in all of her life never, never had a bank ever informed any one of such things. That it is my responsibility to make my payments on time. Well US Bank, I tried to make my payments on time but due to the inadequacy of your web site and the inpersonnal approach to banking not mention the worst customer service reps ever, I will be vacating this account immediately! Another bank that is updated both with technology and personnel will benefit from the interest that I pay ON TIME!

Doing business with US Bank on line leaves a consumer exposed to tactics that make you out to be the bad guy and them more money. Beware!
