These rebuttals are something else. I don't mind the reminder calls because on occasion we are late and with my children getting the mail well you just never know when or if you get it all. However, I have a major issue with them calling here and insulting and harrassing my children. One rep even had the nerve to call my 12 yr old hostile. Did you know that when you call them from a different number their machines automatically puts in that number whether your home, friends, parents, work. According to Americredit they can call as many times as they want to in the run of a hr, day, week, etc... Until they contact the person on the loan.
They also claim that they are within their rights to call other numbers that you have called from. For example. I was visiting my mom one day. I called my answering machine from her house. Americredit was on it so I figured I would return their call. Come to find out a couple months later we again were late by 5 days and they called my mom's house and harrassed my mom. Said quote " I know they live there and I have proof, where are they and put them on the phone" well needless to say I called them again. They told me at that point no only numbers on the account are the ones you have given us. Then today I find out that just isn't true. Everything them people have ever said are lies. Them rebuttals are something else.
I can't imagine knowing what I have been through with these people that ANYONE has anything good to say about them. For the record according to the laws of the attorney generals office it is ILLEGAL for a creditator to call you more than 3 times in a 7 day week and under no circumstance are they to call anyone other than on the loan. I am not sure if any of you went this way or not. I do suggest looking up the Attorney Generals Office in your state. If they get enough complaints about Americredit they will have no choice but to do something about all this HARRASSMENT AND ROBBERS. For the record. As far as being nice to them they will be nice to you. Well that is just plain bull and anyone that believes that is naive. Just isnt happening not in my lifetime anyways. Good Luck All and if there is a suit against them count me in. Hopefully it will be before they make me crazy and my kids emotional unstable.
