I, too, have been scammed by this company. They called me in September and told me I could receive a $5000 mastercard if I paid the $279 processing fee. Stupidly, I believed them, because I have put down what I thought were "credit deposits" before for credit cards; it hasn't ever been a problem.
Well, 2 moths later, I wondered where the card is. Everytime I called to inquire, I came across the rudest and most unhelpful representative, who told me to just keep waiting.
Now I have discovered this site, and I am sick. I feel like a damn fool. I called my bank, and they filed a claim for me—but was told they cannot do anything because it has been more than 45 days, and by law they cannot charge the "company" back.
I told the bank everything this site advised me to say; they still won't do anything. I am so mad and angry, I could scream. I have called the FTC and teh New York Bureau, and am in the process of getting an attorney.
Any other advice out there?
