Blame it on the Matrix System, Overdraft Charges Rip Off!

Me and my wife had an account at First Bank and Trust but, we closed it and opened up one with BB&T because they had more banks to bank at that were more convenient.

The way First Bank & Trust worked if we got paid on the 15th of each month and it fell on a Sunday they would give it to you on Friday and not charge you for it.

Well, we asked BB&T about that and they said they would go on and give you credit for it if they knew it was pending. Well, our pay day was falling on a Saturday so we called Bank 24 and it said there was a pending deposit, so we went early because we were out of everything and thought we would be alright since there was a pending deposit.

Well, turns out we had overdraft fees after that, so, we went and talked to the customer service rep at the time (she left and can't remember her name) but she said that if you get paid on the 15th and it is on a Sunday you have to wait till the 15th before you can use it.

Also, we made a deposit before 2:00 P.M. And we went out that night, well, we had more overdraft fees to turn up. Found out that, that deposit did not get posted till after 2:00 P.M. The next day.

We went to the bank and complained about it and they did give some of our fees back due to misunderstanding of deposits, but, not all of it. Well, we went on and paid the rest of the overdrafts which left us in a hole from then on.

It gets worse, recently we had called Bank 24 to find out if a direct deposit went in and it said we had an available amount of funds which was our deposit. We went out and paid bills, did our usual errands. Come to find out we had more overdraft fees.

We went to the bank again to see what had happened, they said that our deposit had not went in yet, so I argued that the automatic phone service said that we had available funds and showed our deposit as being available. Mrs. Ard said that even though it was showing available it would not be posted until the date of deposit. She said there was nothing she could do. So we asked about overdraft protection. She said since we had direct deposit we would have to switch from free banking to being charged a monthly fee. How stupid is that? What is the difference? Well, there was still nothing she could do because we were $565.00 in the hole.

She said the Matrix system they had went to would go on and let us use it. Mrs Ard said it was like a line of credit but would charge $32.00 a transaction. We told her that was not right because Phone 24 said it was available along with online banking.

I feel like I have been robbed. So she said that she could take us off of the Matrix to see if that would help.

We went online to see the account that weekend and found out they a put a debit block so we could not see the account anymore. We called phone 24 and found out we were up to $597.00 in the hole. There was another $32.00 overdraft fee. The only thing we could come up with is they charged us $32.00 to remove us from the matrix because everything has done cleared and we have not done anymore transactions.

We tried to stop the direct deposit from going into the bank, but, due to Thanksgiving holidays we could not stop it, so now, our whole paycheck will be eaten up by BB&T. Now, we have not got enough money to pay all of our bills and will not be able to buy groceries for the next 2 weeks. Thanks BB&T!!!

However, we will be closing that account with them. They are the worse bank ever! They are legal robbers!!!

She argued that even though we were showing available funds our money would not be posted till the date of. HOW CONFUSING! She started blaming it on the Matrix system they had went to. It
