Scam Ripoff Fraud Rip-off unfair no customer service cannot cancel, Richmond Virginia

I was called last week about Nov. 9th 2004 by Kelly. She said I was approved for a Master Card from an application I applied for, four (4) months ago. She said it was already approved and with a $2,500 spending limit and 0% interest for 2 years. I asked if there would be any processing fee's and she ignored my question.

Kelly continued with her routine ripoff. She said I could use the Mastercard at ATM and everything. She asked if I were interested in something like this. I said yes and she said great. She then asked to verify that I was ME and she asked my banking info etc. Then she said that there was a $349.25 processing fee. I asked for it to be put on the card balance and she said that it had to be paid upfront.

She schedule it to go out Nov. 19th (tomorrow now). She then passed me to a Verification officer. She said she was going to verify all the information given to them. She put me on hold and said she was going to get a Federal Secured Line and to limit my answers to yes or no and ok and not talk say anything else unless told to. I passed that test and she gave me a contract number.

Three Days later after thinking about what was said and friends saying it sounded fishy. I had never applied for a credit card 4months ago was the big one. So I had a couple friends call the 877 number for me. They called just to ask what the company name was. The operater told them that they would not give any information to them unless they had a contract number. Later I called from my home phone. I called three (3) times and no one answered. Just went to an automated voicemail for "customer service" I called with my number blocked and a bored operator or customer service rep answered. I asked to cancell my account and she said I could not do that. THat it was too late. She said all she could do was change the withdrawl date. I asked why I could not cancell. She said when I was called I either accepted the offer or didn't and I accepted it and I can not change my mind.

I asked to speak to Kelly but she told me that she cannot transfer calls to her. Then we hung up. This is a scam do not fall for it like I did! Questions to ask when they call are - Why has Mastercard nor Visa EVER heard of Avlis. I contacted MC and they said they never heard of them before.

Watch out!
