I was also misled into believing that this company might be the right choice for me. I made the arrangements to register with them, and was led into upping my limit for an additional 20$ which meant I would have $99.90 debited from my checking account. Luckily not for 30 days.
Excited about the prospect of funding Christmas through my new card (I am a single Mom), I immediately went to the site. HA!!! They claim to have 11,000 items, but 95% or more items are on what they call, 'blowout'. Essencially, the blowout price has a red star next to it, which, if you scan to the bottom of the page, means it's not elegable to go on the card. You must pay for the item in full with your bank account. Plus, the 'original' prices for these items are outrageous! For example, a new console video game (PS2, XBOX) sells in regular stores and even specialty stores for no more than 65$ normally. This site claims the original price is 94.95, and has the game at a blowout price of 54.99! What a joke!
I called the company the next day to cancel my account, and was argued into the ground for five minutes by a young pup named Eric, who was obviously doing his job to the best of his abilities. He tried to make me feel bad by saying he thought I signed up to repair my credit. When I said yes, I did, but didn't find anything I would be interested in purchasing, he said I obviously wasn't trying to repair my credit. I had to give the child credit for trying! I WAS angry! But the minute I asked to speak to a supervisor, he excused himself for a moment, only to come back less than a minute later, and said he had closed my account, wished me a nice day, and that was it!
My advise is, don't bother. Especially if you can be argued into things. I personally can't! Good Luck!
