This company violates Section 809 FDCPA. They do not notify you of the debt, considers it valid and reports it to the credit bureau without benefit of dispute.
I discovered this error while reviewing my credit report. The debt was 4 years old, yet was just reported to Equifax. When I responded in writing, the company admitted that they could not get service on me and that I was "elusive & evasive for the last three years and 9 months.
They could not even provide legible & legitimate documentation supporting the debt. I have written them another letter notifying them of my intention to sue if they do not remove this collection activity from my credit report.
Collection agencies must notify you of any alleged debt, give you the right to dispute it, and provide documentation to insure the debt is valid before it is reported as a collection activity.
