A representative called me last night and told me that I was approved for a credit card with a $2500 limit. I got excited because of the amount. I am trying to get my credit repaired and I thought this would be a great way to do that.
I thought about it and decided to ask more questions. They said that I would have to pay $299 and it could be deducted up to 30 days away from today. I would recieve the card within 10-14 days form the day that they take the payment. I asked what annual percentage rate and he told me 8.5%. That is pretty good for someone with fair credit.
I told him that I would have to think about it. He said that he would call me back tomorrow. I wanted to check on the internet about the company. I am glad I did and didn't give this copany any money. Then I recieved another call today about a different credit card. This one was a platnum card with a $5000 credit limit with 1.9% rate. Of course they wanted money as well. I said NO. I hope consumers check out various companys that call about credit card offers and don't take them for granted.
