I called about a toilet in my house running water uncontrollably. The company kept on placing me with Contractors that told me that I was out of their Jurisdiction. At some point, they gave a Contractor to me who kept telling me he would call me back everyday for a week. I was so annoyed. After complaining to Colonial, they gave me one of the companies that had said that they were outside my Jurisdiction. When I called back, the man told me to find my own Contractor and they would reimburse me fully. I explained that I was going out of town and this would be a risk to use my own money. He assured me that if it was a covered expense, I would be reimbursed fully.
After careful consideration, I called Roto-Rooter and asked the Worker to call Colonial for Approval. The guy at Colonial came on the line and said, "the services are covered, just send us the work order and you will be reimbursed." The bill came to $234 and some change. I paid. Two days later, I got an e-mail saying that I should accept reimbursement for $32.00. I was so insulted. I have sent an email and requested that someone call me back and have heard nothing. I have been taken!
I will follow this up by taking it to all the complaint centers because I was assured that I would receive full reimbursement initially and they are offering me peanuts!
