I had gone into a Nail Salon in the Apollo Beach area and had gone to the receptionist of Marco Nail @ Spa. She was writing an appointment and told me to hold on. I waited and as soon as she was done, I wanted to know if they use the same brush applicator, nail clips, nail file when someone has fungus. She didn't understand and she said that if I wanted to do my nails. I said no. I just wanted to know if she could answer the question. The owner comes up to the reception area, I asked her the same question and the owner said yes they use the same applicator, nail file, etc. You can also get an infection by direct contact with an infected person or through contact with floors, shoes, slippers or other personal items, such as nail clippers or nail files, that have fungi on them.
Because of the owners answer, it raised concerned and I started feeling uncomfortable.instead the owner got defensive and said I was being rude. I am deaf in one ear, I tend to speak loud and wasn't trying to be rude or maybe I just caught them off guard with the question. I believe if the customer needs to know anything about their establishment, then they have the right to ask questions. I wasn't planning to do my nails with Marco Nail Salon, I wanted to go to an establishment that is clean and uses other nail tools when someone has fungus. Is that so wrong!
