I bought a Shar-Pei from this breeder in Chatsworth, GA. He assured me that the puppy was free of any genetic diseases and even gave me a health guarantee for this, but the guarantee means nothing. The puppy has entropion, which is a painful conditon of the eye where the eyelid turns in and irritates the eye causeing blindness if not corrected promptly. The surgery for this cost me over $600. The puppy also had Demodex mange, which is also inherited from his parents. His mom or dad had to have the condition for my puppy to get it. This is very expensive often lasting most of the dogs life. I have to treat with with Ivermectin which is expensive and can be life threatening to the dog, but this treatment is the best for this condition. Each time I go to the vet for this it cost me about $65 each vist and I have to come back once a week for 3 weeks until the condition clears up, and then it will be back atleast once a year for me to treat again. Buyers beware!
