As a customer of direct TV for five years, every time I called about a question or problem they gave me a different story. So when I was planning to move in Nov I considered switching to DISH. Since I got the same customer service from them, I called Direct TV and advised I was considering switching to DISH as they were offering "HD FREE FOR LIFE". The "supervisor" said "I can get that for you." After choosing all of the services and features, I reviewed the costs and eVERY DETAIL with him THREE times. They claim to have no way to confirm to you in writing what they have agreed to so you don't know what you are getting until after you get your first bill. That's when I learned that I would only get "HD FREE for 12 MONTHS". I appealed all the way to the "office of the president" and was told "there is no way we can give that to you." Another lie as the previous person had said they only give that to new customers. This despite the fact that they KNEW that for the past year I had not be receiving their HD signal at my old address and had continued to charge me for it every month.
