Today I noticed a charge on my checking account from Directv in the amount of 775.80. I was shocked and called them right away. The CSR advised me that it was due to non returned equipment. I told the rep that I never authorized the charge and that I did not even get a chance to return the equipment. I asked to speak to a supervisor so that I could get instructions on how to return the equipment and to have my account charges reversed. I was told that they would send boxes out but that they would not reverse the charges and they would credit the Directv account. Now I face overdraft fees because they did not advise me before they took that large amount out of my checking account. Directv has to have the worlds worst customer service. How can you charge a customer without warning? Is that legal?
