Called to cancel Direct TV this A.M. (Jan. 23) and was given difficult time. Spoke to a Supervisor, Teresa Hamrick, who insisted I had a 24 mo contract which I do not. Was told a cancellation fee would be charged. Have been with them since 1997 and am changing to save over $40 a month with Brighthouse and also am tired of the "searching for satellite" that appears so often here in Florida.
When I got a new box in Sep 2008 I was told "no charge as long as I continued service for 1 year... Not 24 months).
Supervisor says it is on back of my monthly statements which I do not receive as I pay via credit card.
Extremely dissatisfied "ex" custome
