I went into Mobil Gas Station today, in Poughkeepsie, New York, across from Marist College. I was completely unsatisfied with the employee who was working at 8:00 pm on this night of 7/10. When I asked her why when she rung up my item, it was missed priced in the register. She completely went ballistic. I asked her to go with me to where the item was completely stocked to show her the price was actually 2.79 other than 3.99, she told me "It's 3.99 I know this, why are you going to make an issue out of this? It's not my problem" where I then said, "doesn't this store honor the sticker price?" she stated "for 2 dollars, I'm not going to make this my problem, and I don't see why you would either." Now I'm not one to be cheap, but I think its fare that when a price is marked cheaper than it rings up, it should be checked and honored. There was no line, no one else in the store and she wouldn't take the minute to walk 20 feet with me to look at the price. She was extremely rude, the rudest I've actually ever encountered, and I've worked in retail for a strong amount of time to know, that how she reacted to my issue was completely wrong.in the end, after bickering for a good 3 minutes of her saying it's not worth walking back to check, and it's not her issue the item is marked wrong, she said "whatever" moved away from the counter to go behind the candy plot that rose up with electronic cigarettes on it and was flipping papers, where I stood there in shock. She asked me in the most obnoxious tone "can I help you?". Now, even if the price couldn't be changed due to the vendor, I would of at-least appreciated not to be bashed and sassed out by this woman just for asking. It was unpleasant and an experience I hope to never have again. I'm completely unsatisfied and have gone to this gas station for many years, almost many times a week. I would more than strongly appreciate an explanation on why my experience was this bad, for my approach was more than appropriate due to my knowledge of how much a cashier can be bashed on by other customers, I always keep an upbeat attitude since I know tolerance is hard to keep, but this was a beat-down from a cashier who obviously doesn't like to deal with anything at a job she applied for, especially customer support.
