I went to Dollar General to purchase toothpaste and Glad kitchen bags. Iseen on a endcap Glad bags for $5.50 (65 kitchen bags). I was like wow what a great deal so I grabbed them quick. I went to pay for my items the bags rung up 950 i said"hey thats the wrong price the sign said $5.50. The cashier went to do a price check. I heard her call for the store supervisor. So the supervisor came up with 2 boxes and he said. It s the smaller bag with 30 in the box. I explained to him that i got the box of 65 from that same shelf as the smaller box and i felt as though I should get the box of 65 kitchen bags forn $5.50 because it was their mistake for putting both boxes of different quanity on the same endcap. So he started telling how the pricing worked. He told me that when there are 2 item on the same shelf that there are 2 price tags. I told him I understood what he was saying. I also pointed out that there is only one price tags over there that stated Glad trash bags $5.50 and it did not have the quanity amount on the price tag. I asked him arent all your item supposed to be marked to my dismay he said" no and we don't mark all of our items. Once again that I feel as though i should get the trash bags for $5.50. To surpise he said in y nasty voice well i'm not giving it to you. I asked him his name he said Adam with a very bad attitude and turned around and walked away. I am kinda feeling like it was a a race issue. I say this because a few months ago I was in the same line a slightly older lady of a different race had the same problem but with a different product and she was given the item in question for the price it was marked. I feel as though that all items sold in any store should have a price tag on it. I feel as though the employees in dollar gereral should be trained how to deal with customers in a respectful voice tone and attitute. I feel as though i should have gotten the glad bags with 65 for the price it was marked. If this problem is not resolved in a timily matter I will take this problem to the nesxt step.
