GMAC sold our loan to Midland, and it has been a nightmare ever since. After the loan was sold, we got behind on payments after my wife was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The loan was sold in 2008 to Midland. GMAC kept drafting payments until March and sending them to Midland very late, even after I contacted GMAC to stop drafting. After 100 calls to GMAC, they had no record of drafting payments from my account.
I finally contacted the GMAC Equity Accelerator department. They had no record of the loan being sold, and this was a third-party company. Now Midland cannot take payments bi-weekly as we have been doing for 15 years.
We applied for help through their delinquency assistance program. First we did not qualify for it. A representative then contacted us to reapply for the assistance. We did, and she said we were approved. Now we are receiving foreclosure letters from this company. Where can we get some help?
