My wife and daughter were involved in an auto accident while on vacation in 1991. They were at a stop light and were plowed into by an 18-year-old driver going an estimated 50 mph. I read the police report and was amazed that they didn't drug test or anything. It was a 6-lane road, three lanes on each side.
After waging a good fight, I was able to settle with them on my wife's behalf but not my daughter's. I was lied to and told I could not do anything until she turned 18.
When she turned 18 this year, I called Allstate. I was told that the "statute of limitations had expired" and that therefore I had no case. Those liars. They said the claims people from back then have since retired or died.
Now the person who looked at the claim over the years said my daughter never went to any doctors for treatment, so she must not be hurt anyway. That is not true. She was afraid to even ride in a car for almost three years and was carried off in an ambulance after the wreck. She has refused medical treatment by choice. I used to drive an ambulance for a company in Long Beach, CA, before paramedics, and a collision at an estimated speed of greater than 50 mph, struck from behind with no skid marks, usually resulted in some major trauma down the road. Pain, always, forever.
Suddenly I was lied to, and she rudely told me they were not paying one penny. What a company. I had to fight every day with them for my wife's claim, and I mean every day. I was in California and they were in Fort Myers.
So, Allstate, here's to your untruthful, evil employees in Fort Myers, Florida. They deserve a bonus for ripping me off with a big fat lie. My daughter by rights should have been compensated the same as my wife. It really was not that much, because I only took the policy limits, which were only the minimum required. You need to pay up as an obligation.
I trusted your claims adjusters, or I would have settled back then. I bet not one person at Allstate even cares.
