I requested a plumber for a stopped-up kitchen sink. HWA sent a plumbing company to my house. They took $100.00 from me, took one look at my kitchen sink, walked outside, and then came back inside and said my sink was not covered and I would have to pay them another $115.00. I said, "For what? You haven't done anything yet." They said they would have to take apart my sink drain and that was not covered. I asked why they did not snake the drain, and they said that would not work on my kind of setup and they would have to take it apart.
I said there was no way I was paying additional money when they had not even tried to unstop the sink. I requested the return of my $100.00. They refused, wrote up my ticket, and left.
I called HWA to complain, and they said the job was not covered and that was it. I told them they had sent me a rip-off company that did not even attempt to fix my problem, and HWA refused to do anything about it. I purchased this warranty and it is worthless. This company sends out questionable companies and does not care that I got ripped off.
I called a local plumber out the next day, and he ran a snake down my drain and removed the rag that was causing the clog.
