I had a horrible experience at Petco on Milpas St. in Santa Barbara, California. I called to make an appointment for my rabbit to be groomed, and I was told they did not groom rabbits but they would clip his nails, and that no appointment was required but I had to be there before 7 pm. So I asked to leave work earlier. I was at the store at 5:40 pm.
The groomer had a nasty attitude and never made eye contact with me at any time. She told me she was already late with other customers' poodles and that those were really a priority, not my rabbit, of course! She discriminated against one animal in favor of another. So how can they call themselves a pet store? I spend hundreds of dollars monthly there, and this is what I got from them.
I complained to the manager, who listened to me but has never called me back since the beginning of January. This is a red-haired woman who treated me with so much discrimination and disrespect.
