We have been with BB&T for only a couple of years, and we have been taken for more than what I call quite enough. I get an SSI check every month for my son's disabilities, and yet I get taken for some of it from this bank. Two weeks before Christmas I was told I was $320.00 in the hole. So needless to say, I quit using checks and the debit card until I solved my problem.
I started thinking, hey, I used only the card, and when I opened the account I was told that this was a new measure the bank took to help people keep their accounts in good standing. I was told I would not be able to withdraw money or use the card in stores if there was no money in my account. I would be denied! Well, $400.00 in NSF fees later, guess what? I was deceived!
If this has happened to someone else, please email me and let me know! I need help! Sorry I ever banked at BB&T.
P.S. It was so convenient that the lady who opened my account is no longer employed with them!
