We are a small business in South Florida that transacts 100% of its business via phone or internet. Windstream provides a T-1 bundled service to us. There was a total outage for both our phone and internet the last two days of June. This has cost our company a significant amount of business volume, as most of our billing occurs the last few days of each month. We inquired (made a billing complaint) on 6/29 and requested release from our contract. Finally got an answer today, 7/25. The answer was that if there are outages we need to submit in writing to GA and they have 5 days to fix it. We would be out of biz in that period of time. It's right in our contract! Be aware that you basically cannot cancel a contract based on any reasonable service level complaint. Very disappointing and possibly very harmful to ours and other small businesses. Do not sign this contract if this clause cannot be removed.
