I have been a fan of the Disney Channel in the past, but it seems that most of your shows portray parents as self-absorbed, morally deficient, idiots. What is wrong with you?
I thought Disney was about building strong, healthy families.
Today on Good Luck Charlie, Amy Duncan was taking her girls to Chicago to visit a Great Aunt. When asked why she was "great", Gabe responded that you became great when you were old, and Amy Duncan said, "she's not great because she's old, she's great because she's rich, and if we get in good with her, she'll put us in her will", REALLY?!?! Is that the example we want to set for our children? A little later, when they thought the Great Aunt had sent a car for them, Amy Duncan said, "she's wasting money that could be ours someday", once again, REALLY?!?!
The single Mom's on Shake it Up, are clueless and when they are pictured, they are fighting like children with each other.
Wizards of Waverly Place's parental figures are ignorant and self absorbed as well.
A.N.T. Farm has a single Dad that is supposedly a police officer, he gives these courageous people a less than positive spin.
Why not send out positive strong parental figures, that are compassionate, and have strong moral backbones. Kids see these family units and emulate what they see in how they treat their families.
Adults and parents should be respected.
Shame on you!
