I am a mother to a 5 year old boy and 7 year old girl. I am beyond disappointed with the quality of programs available on the Disney and Disney XD channels. The behavior of the children and adults have reversed, so that the kids are often the mature ones and the adults are either idiots like the advisior on ANT Farm or opportunistic glory-seekers like Amy on Goodluck Charlie. The boys are often cast in roles where they appear stupid or devious. The girls often act older than their ages. Cartoons like Fish Hooks and Gravity Falls seem like they are watered down version of Fox shows. And there is absolutely nothing "Family" about ABC Family.
On the bright side, I love Phineas and Ferb and Disney Jr. Is fine for the most part, but too young for my kids. Jesse is currently the closest thing to acceptable in the "real people" shows, but I give it one more season before the same things happen. Good Luck Charlie started out fine too, with the exception of the complete idiot brother, but each season the parents become less parental and more bumbling and inept.
I realize that show writing and selection is driven by marketing, but right now, aside from Phineas and Ferb, we are lacking in shows that are good for the entire family to watch together.
