Comcast Digital Migration: “Don’t fear it’s not likely to set you back a cent”… Our (Mule). I reside in northern Vermont, and Comcast has chose to transfer a lot of my stations towards the electronic spectral range of their support. They aired comercials declaring that people shouldn’t fear; it’s not likely to charge us a penny. They'll provide each home with equipment for approximately three telvisions (an electronic container, or more to 2 electronic plugs), all you've got to complete is go among their customer support facilities (expenses gasoline cash), stand-in an extended point to get gear (expenses the worthiness of your energy).
When you have over 3 TV’s within your house you will see charge for that additional gear & possibly a regular service demand (variable price). When you have a DVR that isn’t wire card prepared you’ll need to purchase one which is (in my own situation a TiVo…$99.99 plus new membership… $399) or hire one from their store (price?) then you need an ‘M-card’ which takes a support phone to set up ($50-plus $6 and alter every month for that card).in case your existing gear is established via a 75 ohm coax wire, you’ll have to purchase an RF modulator & patchcord (~$40) since the new TiVo doesn’t possess a talk out.
If your TiVo was put up to obtain via phone you’ll need to purchase an adapter from their website (~$40 more) since new TiVo’s are just made to obtain via ethernet or Hardware. Positive thing Comcast assured us this wasn’t likely to charge us something! Your expenses may vary…but I’m out more than 600 Dollars in a down economy, and I’m nevertheless unsure that I won’t discover additional costs on my next statement!
