Our verizon fios TV went out 5 days ago. It took those 5 days to get a technician out to check our service. The technician was scheduled for 9 AM. He finally showed up at 9:30 PM. This caused my wife to sit home all day waiting for this guy. He tests the service and in about 10 minutes determines that it's a probem outside of the house not internal. But that is not his area so he will now report it to the department that takes care of the outside wiring. Let's see if it takes 5 more days for that department to show up.

By the way, I was speaking to a guy today who had his new verizon fios service installed by a verizon technician in a verizon truck. So my wife was sitting around all day while Verizon was hooking up new service! No concern what so ever for the existing cutomer's time just get that new sucker signed up fast!

When you call it takes 20 minutes to get to a real person, you enter all kinds of numbers and information but when the person comes on the line they start all over asking for the same information.

If you're thinking about Verizon fios service you may want to wait for a while and see if they can get their act together first. Right now Verizon is a big ZERO on the performance scale. Maybe even a negative 10. The message they send is that they don't care about their customers, they are incompetent and have no clue what customer service is about.
