AHi, I am a former Disney channel viewer. I used to be totally obsessed with it before i found out the types of characters these young actors portray and what bad influences they show to young kids! I would mostly watch my previously favorite show (sonny with a chance) staring young actress
Demi Lovato who sadly got sucked into this horrible buisness so much that she had to go into rehab to learn how to eat again, after that good thing she was actually smart enough to quit the show. Disney used to mean so much to me and now its like the litter some people put outside. I have been watching disney since i was about 11 years old and just realized how sad and mean it is that they portray so many irresponsible and self-absorbed, conceited characters. And heres an example of non realistic this stupid network is... My favorite movie on disney was Starstruck. I was very suprised in the character that they had sterling knignt play. His character, christopher wilde, was very selfish, not knowing whether or not he was parking in a no parking zone and if he had just insulted his friend, and the worst part of all is that he was supposed to act like he knew nothing of the world around him. This whole channel should be banned from television and put more educational shows on that will actually benefit kids in good ways. Im 14 years old and am still trying to get over my thoughts of wanting to be as skinny as demi lovato or selena gomez... And let me think, which show on disney was the last one i actually learned not to lie, cheat, or be disrespectful from... Hmmmm
oh ya NON OF THEM!!! And also can you believe the advertisements on the channel that they show to 3 and 4 year olds on top of it all, buy wizards of waverly place backpacks, sing like miley cyrus, dance like cece and rocky. Im not saying that is exactly like what they tell kids but it is very similar to what they are trying to tell them. Disney should be ashamed of what they do to everyone i mean half the u. S has annorexia and bulimia from all this junk! Its supposed to be a kids program not garbage in a trash can! While u guys think of the kids that watch your channel (IF U DO) also try and think about how many viewers ur gonna lose along with it! I am sick of all this drama and these unbeneficial shows that teach u no good at all. Toughen up and find better rolemodels along with better scripts to go with the shows, until then... Good bye disney channel!
