I subscribe to Disney Channel for my 7 year old daughter as part of Dish package. I really think there are some good shows in Disney Jr. But then we are not fond of the pre-teen and teen shows that she is watching.
We%u2019ve contacted dish network to disconnect the Disney channel because we cannot have her watch the stuff that is not age appropriate. Disney should put out shows that teaches new generation good personality triats and how they should become a good citizens as teenagers. Most of the programs that kids are watching are teaching them how to dress like a rock stars and boy/girlfriends. If this is what is demanded from the viewers you should create a Disney teenage channel and let viewer pay for those shows. I also find that Disney show chaterizies Indian in negative way. There are no shows about Africans, Spanish, Chinese. My kids get picked on in their schools because Disney only portrays how Indians have accents and how they live. I have written to human rights about this concern and I hope for action on my valid concerns.
