Don't get DirecTV - Awful Customer Service

I agree that direcTV customer service department are liars and cheats. They tell you things and don't follow though. A year ago I changed to the new HD system and recently was told that I had 3 receivers and that I have been paying for 3 receivers for over a year. I only have 2 and have never had 3. I was also told that she could only give me credit for 6 months which came to about $33.17. Fine, its better then nothing. I was given a whole line of bull but when I got my bill, I noticed there was no credit for the $33.17 so I called and asked why. Funny thing, it was never logged onto my account and appears I never had this conversation with direct TV and then told I could only get 2 months credit and that I should review my account at all times which I already do. I am tired of when it rains, snows etc there is no service and finally got tired of paying for service I wasn't getting. Now I call everyday I have no service and refuse to pay when I can't get service.in one week I was without service for 5 days. I pay $2.90 a day which comes to $14.50 plus taxes but wasn't credited for that amount. I was told I could purchase a heater for my dish which would cost me anywheres from $200 to $400 plus electricity cost. These people suck big time. Stay away from them. My contract is up in another year and I will be changing to someone else even if I have to pay more money.
