Oh where do I begin? UVerse reps came knocking on my door offering a free 30 day trial of Uverse. I went for it.

First problem was the tech set up the system wrong, so we weren't even getting high-def TV. We figured it out after a day. My desktop and laptop kept having issues connecting to the internet and I would get kicked off. When calling technical support, they suggested we go to Google, and find out what extra applications were on our computer we didn't need.??? After 3 days of this, we decided to cancel and go back to DirecTV and regular DSL. When I called to cancel, I was told I would be 2 weeks without internet. 2 weeks! Might I add I was transferred about 5 times to get to someone that could help. They wouldn't even tell me I was being transfered and all of a sudden I was talking to someone else. I explained that I absolutely could not go 2 weeks without internet because I take classes online and needed it for school. The rep agreed to cancel the TV portion, but let me keep internet for an extra month until my summer break where I could be 2 weeks without internet. I was told 2 weeks by 3 different people -More on this to follow. I sent the box back for the TV and and called back during my break to cancel the internet. All this time, I couldn't even get on my desktop, and had intermittant internet on my laptop. Again, after being transferred about 4-5 times (seriously, this is not an exaggeration) I was told I needed to be home for them to connect the DSL back. I was told the techs won't come out on Saturday, and it had to be a weekday. The actual time without internet from Uverse to go back to DSL was 2 days. They lied about the 2 weeks. Perhaps to keep a bonus maybe?

I took a day off work, and when the DSL tech came by, she couldn't connect it because the UVerse was never properly disconnected. I wasted a whole day off work for this. The DSL tech told me they absolutely work Saturdays.!!!

In addition, they ruined the DirectTV line, and I had to pay $70 for DirectTV to come back. The DirectTV guy said he got those calls all the time where UVerse messed up their equipment. Uverse promised me a $70 credit on my DSL bill to offset the DirectTV charge. That never came and they never had any record of that in subsequent calls—big surprise.

I finally got DSL back online and recieved a $132 bill from Uverse! Again I called and was transferred multiple times. 45 minutes later and arguing with a rude rep my bill was finally dropped to $43. I am not kidding... I was on the phone with her for 45 minutes until she realized my bill was not $132.

3 weeks later... I recieved a check for $3.42 which I overpaid. Not even worth going to the bank for that.

Just don't do it.
