WATER SOFTNER Aquasafe water softners, new broken product - Aqua safe Twintec water softne

We bought a new twin tec water softner from Aquasafe for 1400 Euros late last year convinced by their advertising and "10 year gaurentee". After a few months it broke down. The serviceman couldnt fix it on site. He took it away leaving us with what he called a replacement product until he fixed the problem. The replacement product consumed way too much salt. We discovered It was different model. After numerous calls, the service man called back and did a little repair on the replacement unit which he said solves the problem. It worked well for two weeks and broke down. We have not heard about our original defective unit either. We are in a position where the product we paid for was taken away from us and the replacement that's broken as well. We are making numerous calls to the company which has been elusive to respond to put it decently. Not returning calls. We we do get throught to the manager, he promises to call back which never happens. We wanted to support local business. Our neighbours bought excellent water softner at half the price 'on-line' at half the price and have had very satisfactory experience so far. We feel foolish for aour decision. We would like to warn others of our experience so they could make informed decisions. Thanks.
