In October I was giventime share points from a friend to use at Orangelake resort. We were pressured into going to a preview/tour. We were not allowed to leave after the required 90 minutes they kept us for 3and 1/2 hours until we caved and bought another vacation. When I scheduled to come back in Jule of 2012 I was treated very rudely on the phone for trying to schedule a time for the tour. There were several calls and it seemed as though something was wrong, everytime I called peolpe were saying I was rude/irate. It was a set up because they purposefully gave me a hard time and bounced the tour time around to try and aggitate me, well at least that is what they were documenting (that I was irate/rude). Then when we arrived we were pushed off in some building at the end of the property on the 3rd floor when we were told our accomidations would be the same as when we were there in 2010. Went back to the check to be sent to customer care where I told them I was bankrupt, they had all our info from 2010 and from scheduling the trip these questions were repeataly asked they also had our credit, they never asked hy husband any question and we were told to have a seat by the window then a woman named Marjory came out to say "Leave or I will call security" there was no explainnation nothing just a charge for not showing up for the tour/presentation of $700 they documented that we choose not to do the tour when in fact we were kicked out. They choose not to let us in based on or lack of income and there delusion of me being irate/rude which I was my normal self. Since they choose not to let us in we should not be charged.
The rest of the week was a nightmare, our phone in our room would ring in the middle of the night with no one there when answered, we got stained towels and sheets when we asked for clean ones we got more stained ones. My son fell on slippery tile and no one at the resort cared if he was hurt, my daughter cut her foot on sharp tile and neede a bandaid and no one would give her one they ignored us. I guess after the resort had the child die playing mini golf on June 28 and another guest hurt trying to help the child they have noregard for any other injuries. While we were on their property the fire department and ambulance came 2 times for accidents.
There are several web sites that are all about just complaints of simular rip offs by this resort. They also wrote a false statement to my credit card.
