I wish I would have NEVER heard of Celebration Cruise Line or Bahamas Celebration. This is such a fraud! The package IS A SCAM; I recorded all of my conversations and was promised the moon, but did not receive it. We were told we could choose two day in a "LUXURY RESORT" in Fort Lauderdale Florida, two days aboard the Bahamas Celebration cruise line to take us to the Bahamas, and two days in the Bahamas. Along with car and two companion fare plane tickets (not to exceed $500.00 per ticket purchased) after many hours of working through details over the phone with them, this trip is the opposite of what I was promised during many phone conversations.
I was told that we would be provided with two upgraded rental cars for the entirety of our trip, but have yet to receive my confirmation #. Air fare companion tickets for 2 was a joke, we gave up a $300.00 RT opportunity waiting for vouchers to come in the mail after two weeks we received them and we immediately logged on to register them thinking we could then get our air. Nope, we were told we had to wait another two weeks for them to send a certificate in the mail. I called and after much talking, was able to get on a website to book my air. Only to find that all the tickets for the dates of my trip were sold out and I would have to pay a higher price for air. They also do no tell you that you have to pay a fee for the free ticket of $150.00. My two tickets that were not going to be OVER $550.00 cost me $981.00. We had to settle for flights we did not want going into airports farther away, because that was all that was available.
We were told we could choose the hotel, once we choose the hotel we were told it is closed and gave us two other hotels and said we will upgrade you for FREE thinking that meant rooms we asked what our upgrade was, we were then told no the upgrade was to this hotel. I have yet to see how clean it is. We were told two nights in the Bahamas but when we booked our dates oops we cannot let you stay in the Bahamas it would cost $900.00 more. However, you can stay in Florida for two more nights.
We were told we had suits on the ship only to find out when booking we did not even have a window. We were told MORE MONEY to upgrade, Oh no we cannot upgrade you from your cabin to a suit it just is not possible. Finally, we are now booked in a cat 5. We shall see.
Watch out for the hidden fees!
The ship does not have 24-hour food and the ice cream bar is deceiving, ice cream in a cup if free but if you want a cone, you must PAY
I truly feel that they DO NOT CARE about there customers.
