Caribbean CRUISE LINE SCAM

I just came back from this SCAM Caribbean Cruise Line Bahama trip two days ago.

It was AWFUL.

I cannot believe this kind of FRAUD/SCAM business could still happen in USA.

I was told over the phone that I was rewarded "a very special cruise deal to Bahama" after answering political survey back in April. This "very special deal" was too good to be true and was Caribbean Cruise Lines advertising method - you go, come back and tell your friends how wonderful the trip aboard the Celebration Cruise was.

My "very special deal" was $785 for two people, included two-night hotel & three day free breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at hotel, two-night ocean-view outside stateroom aboard the LUXURIOUS Bahamas Celebration, two days & nights free meals on cruise, two-night hotel in Bahama resort, an economy rental car for one week, two-day meals in Bahama resort are excluded.

I added two more people for additional $129 per person ($129 x 2 = $258) when I confirmed our cruise date later on in October. I also upgraded our hotel from Ramada to Hilton for additional $50 per person ($50 x 4 = $200). I was told that all meals in Hilton are FREE for four people. The rental car is also FREE for four people.

When we arrived Fort Lauderdale airport rental car counter, we found out the FREE car was actually a very tiny "economy" car which can hardly put even two people with two carry-on luggages in it. We have to upgrade it to a bigger car which can sit four people with four carry-on luggages.

That was additional $361 including a GPS.

At Ramada welcome center, a staff called Joan sit down with us and give us some breakfast, lunch, dinner coupons first, then she told us these coupons were good if we eat buffets in Ramada, it was not enough value if we eat buffets in Hilton, we have to pay the difference if we eat in Hilton!

Then she pushed me three times to sign a TOUR/GIFT VOUCHER for a two hours timeshare tour in a place called Palm Beach Shores Resort, deposit amount $40 can be returned to us upon we complete the two-hour presentation. When she found I was hesitated to sign the voucher, she said that you girls can have a nice free breakfast over there. I finally signed the voucher & paid her cash of $40.

The nightmare started when a timeshare sales joined us for breakfast. The guy asked us four girls were married or single right after we finished our breakfast. I told him how come he asked us such kind of question when we only knew him for less than an hour. He said that's his company's rule to complete this timeshare tour!

Later on, I told him that we were not interested in buying this kind of timeshare and we already completed two hours presentation, we had an appointment around 12 noon time, we have to go, the sales still dragged us into additional one and half hour!

Additional cost: $60 ($15 x 4day) for parking the "free" rental car before we boarded the cruise at Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach Florida, $68 ($17 x 4 people) for shuttle round trip between the cruise to Bahama resort, $96 ($24 x 4 people) for "Wait Staff and Housekeeping Service" round trip, $72 ($18 x 4 people) for "Fuel Surcharge" round trip.

That's additional $296.

$785 $258 $200 $24.99 (hotel booking charge) $361 $21 (two-breakfast additional charges in Hilton) $54.28 (one dinner additional charges in Hilton) $296 = $2000

It is not too good to be true, IT IS too bad to be true!

And the hotel is not Hilton in Fort Lauderdale, it's Double Tree in Deerfield Beach!

Shame on you, Caribbean CRUISE LINE SCAM!

USA is a developed country, it is not a developing country!
