I purchased a ticket at Travelocity last Sunday. I spoke to the Agent Kevin/India and gave me all false information just to close the sale.
He said that there will be a complimentary breakfast if I pay thru my AMEX. He said, I will receive the confirmation thru email. I believed him since he confirmed that i will receive the email within 24 hrs.
I called customer service to follow up the breakfast they said i had to call amex, and when i called amex, they said they do not have a tie up with travelocity.
I called again customer service to demand for the recording to be reviewed bec. I am positive on what the agent told me. They said wait for another 24 hrs. Then on 3rd day, i followed up again, spoke to agent and supervisor, they said reviewing the recording will take another 24 to 72 hrs. This is so annoying and frustrating. They really have a bad customer service, all agents i spoke to are from India.
I got a call on the 5th day saying to call travelocity. I spoke to an agent and he said that they did not find the recording and there is nothing he can do. I was then passed on to Jerald (id #A40) and he said that i can just purchase the breakfast and give them the receipt and they will take care of the 2 days breakfast. I told him that this is not what i was informed so why would i settle for comp. Breakfast just for 2 days, i was then transferred to the Senior Manager, Peter (id# AJ) I should have not talked to this man as i my blood pressure shoot up, very bad customer service, i then demand to talk to a US based customer service as I never want to deal with this agents.
Spoke to Julie and giving me the same reply that since there is no recording there is nothing she can do.
PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE TO WHATEVER THE AGENT IS PROMISING, I LEARNED MY LESSON THE HARD WAY. Travelocity gives false information just to close the deal. Very frustrating and disappointing. I will never use travelocity again.
