Cheapoair is a dishonest and misleading webite! I recently bought a ticket from the Galapagos to Quito and ran into this ridiculous situation. After purchasing the ticket on the website, I get an email a day later saying that there were technical difficulties with the airline and they are unable to book my ticket! Instead, I am offered a different flight, which has a significantly more inconvenient time, an additional transfer, and I was expected to pay more for this! This is ridiculous. When I buy a ticket, I am expecting to fly from A to B at a certain price. If that is not available anymore, and Cheapoair wants to make this up to me with a more expensive flight at a different time, they should compensate the difference and NOT make me pay more for a flight that I DON'T want! Instead, the travel agent I spoke with are unwilling to cover the entire cost difference and had an extremely bad attitude. They weren't even apologetic for the inconvenience and started raising their voice back at me.
What's even worse is that while I was talking to them on the phone, I can STILL see the problematic flight that I booked on their website! In other words, they did not take down this flight that was problematic and are STILL making it available for OTHER passengers to buy this flight and go through a similar pain! The agent says that they can't remove this flight because it is tied to the airline's website. Far-fatched story. You can easily manually override the search listings, removing that airline as a source of the search engine or not showing any flights with that airline's name. Cheapoair doesn't seem to be putting any extra effort into making sure their flights are reliable and this is an absolutely ridiculous situation.
If they are looking to change my flight, they should at least offer some compensation for the change in flight time and additional transfer! Ridiculous that they didn't even make such an offer.
