I see by the number of complaints about Diamond Resorts that we are not alone. Our story is about the same as most of the other victims: false statements and promises, increased Maintenance fees with no way out, decrease in property value, and not being able to use the points that I purchased.

Our maintenance fees have tripled in the past seven years with no justification. Also, we were told numerous times that we would be able to rent out our property for a profit, which was the main reason we purchased in the first place. Now we are told that we cannot rent it out.

In my opinion DRI has broken our contract in several areas and I see no reason to pay another maintenance fee. Why should we as owners stand here and be ripped off for another minute. Is DRI so powerful that they are immune to legal action? I don't think so. Ask Bernie Madow (sp). I think it is time for a class action law suit. I for one refuse to be a victim any longer and will not pay DRI another penny in maintenance fees.

I'm not sure of the proper way to start a class action suit. How can we contact other people like us that have been ripped-off without having a list of names and addresses? Perhaps advertising or here on this web site. If anyone else is interested in pursuing this avenue, and I believe there are many, don't be afraid to speak up. I'm not one to remain a victim and neither should you.
