My name is James Castro complaining on Double Tree Hilton-Austin @6505 Ih-35n. Staff includes corporate phone call Hilton Intl, Mgr Johnny Lorado, and Customer Rep Matthew Flores. After a 4 hr drive to Austin from Dallas, Tx ready to check in like any other hotel. Except this time unlike other hotels or even the Hilton-Houston or Hilton Austin confirmations mean nothing to them. Arriving ready to get in my room to find out my credit card had not been charged, but confirmation had been given anyway. To go further there is no policy backing giving confirmations with no charge nor does my print out. My print out actually says Thank you for choosing Double Tree by Hilton Were looking forward to seeing you. That tells me since you have my credit card information confirmation I am good to go. This forced me to choose another hotel after spending $3,000 between clothes, SXSW passes, and Quentin Tarantino tix plus thinking my room was already charged. Please help me get the word out so other consumers do not end up without a hotel on a budget.
