Initially, I made reservations on line at www.hotels-in-neworleans.com. I received an email stating that my credit card security code on the back didn't match what I had submitted. I gave the representative named Tina the exact code which I had previously submitted. I never heard back from them so I decided to call them the next business day. I was told there is a problem because the hotel wouldn't honor the price that they had charged me. Tina went on to tell me that if I wanted to stay at the Hotel Le Cirque (the hotel I made the reservation for) I would have to pay a higher price. She also told me that they had alternative hotels that I could stay at.
I asked her why would they charge my credit card before knowing if the hotel would honor the price. She apologized and told me that there is nothing that she can do. I told her I wanted the price that I reserved the hotel for honored that they were using the switch and bait trick. I also told her if she couldn't honor the price to cancel my reservation and credit back my credit for the full amount that I was charged. Tina told me that she would forward my information to the accounting dept. When I asked her to let me speak with someone from the accounting dept. She named April Little and told me she would not be in until 45 minutes from the time that we were speaking. She also stated that she could only put in the system that I had cancelled the reservation, she couldn't credit my account. Then she went on to tell me that I shouldn't worry because my account would be credited back in 15 days.
The Accounting Dept. Would have to credit my account. I waited and no phone call. The next day I spoke with Alan he told me the same story I was previously told and that I had to speak with April again this time I checked the sight and it clearly states that the rooms are not guaranteed unit full payment is received. Again, I was told I had to speak with this April person. This time I called backed profusely until I reached April. She told me the story that Tina did. I told her that I was going to contact the BBB that's when she asked me to hold on for twenty minutes came back to the phone and said, " make the reservation again" an hung up the phone. Of course when I called back they repeatedly put me on hold. That's when I contacted my credit card company.
