My bank account showed a withdrawal of $9.95 from a MWI SimpleEscapes2... With the phone number to contact them directly in the transaction. I typed the company name in a search engine and came up with this website with several reports already listed, some with much higher transactions than mine. When I called the number the customer service person said they didn't know who I was and had no record of me! Luckily I didn't let it go until... Oh guess what! They found me in their records. According to them, I clicked on a button that enrolled me in a trial membership with their program while purchasing a membership with Classmates.com!
He told me I should have already been sent the membership package, and not to worry, he'll send me one right away. After having to ward off what turned into a telemarketing technique... He finally agreed to return my money within 2 business days... And "sorry for the inconvenience"
I hope these guys get taken at the lawsuit being filed in California!
