Some negotiating!
I purchased a flight on Jet Blue through Priceline.com for $446.40 that I
had to cancel. I was told I would have the flight credit minus a $100
change fee and a $30 service fee leaving me $316.40 in credit.
I went to book a flight today and before doing so I confirmed that I
could use the credit, minus the fees and not have to actually pay
anything else today. I was then informed that Priceline would deduct
the fees and also charge me on my credit card today for the same fees,
essentially taking $260 from me reducing the amount of credit to only
$204.
Before calling priceline I tried to book directly with Jet Blue (which
an email from Priceline said I could) but Priceline still has it as an
open ticket so Jet Blue can't access the credit to book the flight for
me.
This is unfair and when I asked for a supervisor I was told they could
not find one available?!?!
Money is tight these days and customer service is everything, why would I
ever use Priceline again or recommend them? Buyers beware!!!
And there customer service is atrocious!!!
