My fiancee', Florha, and I had stayed in this particular motel from 13 July to 30 July because we had been temporarily displaced from our home in the Fairfield-Suisun City, CA. Area. I must say in its, if allowed to continue, present state and condition this hotel/motel will not survive.
For starters when we intially arrived at the hotel on the afternoon of 13 July we requested to be placed in a non smoking room. Hotel Staff and Management (appears to us to be family owned and operated) placed and kept us for the duration of our stay in a smoking room.
The rate for the motel, though very affordable, is in no way compatable, well I should say is compatable to the accomodations. The bed was hard and jumpy, pillows and pillow cases are waffer thin the lone curtains on the main window to the room looked to us like they have not been taken down and cleaned in years. Their are dead insects in the return air duct for the AC/Heater unit. The bath tub faucet leaks water in the off position, the bathroom sink has a leak and the comode is two sizes to small. Lamps and lamp shades are dusty and dirty. One lamp shade is frayed so that you can see the inner linings of the lamp from its bottom side.
The hotel pool is unfit to swim in. Hotel grounds and parking area are trashy and filled to capacity with cigarette butts. The hotel lone maintenace man stays on property and repairs things from his room. Hotel maid service is nill in that the head of housekeeping cannot read, write or speak English. During our stay their service to our room, if you can call it that, was left to my fiancee' and I to do, often the maid, to the best of her ability, was quoted as saying, "you do it I busy..."
The kicker for us is that this hotel is centrally located in that it is just a stone's throw away from Travis Air Force Base and two stone's throws away from Interstate 80. It is on a major and heavily traveled through fair and next to a really classy Mexican Resturant. Somehow, in my opinion, given the geographic location and the resturant right next door to the motel the motel in question should compete and be compatiable to its surroundings. It is a diamond in the rough and should set the standard for the many over night lodges that are peppered throughout Fairfield-Suisun City.
Through this grievance and concern we are hoping something positive will come. We wish no one harm or ill will we just want the very best for and from our immediate area. Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion and voice our concerns. God Bless...
