I was returning to Tucson, AZ from the DC airport flying with United. I had 1 piece of luggage that was not a carry-on.inside I had my nebulizer and it was very well protected. I also had TSA put FRAGILE stickers on the suitcase. Three of them in fact, when I got to Tucson I noticed damages to my suitcase. Well, I have limited ability to carry items so I had bought a suitcase with wheels. Not only was the wheel gone but so was part of my suitcase. And some of my clothing was sticking out of the opening. Now I can't carry my luggage and I saw no one to help me to make a comment to. Plus, I could not go downstairs to see if there were employees in that area. They have signs posted to never leave your stuff un-attened. So I was in a bind. When I unpacked the suitcase the next evening I found my nebulizer damaged and a few other minor things broken. Now, I have never put fragile stickers on the luggage before and never had anything broken, but when I did not only is something broken inside but the luggage is not usable any longer. I had used it once before. Now, when I complained they said I would have to bring it down to the airport and SEE the damage. Ok I took the stuff to be looked at and the manager was not there. After many calls and phone tag, Raul at the Tucson airport said that the nebulizer would be paid for but not anything else. I have not see a check and he will not return my calls. Nice! I emailed the head of the United complaint center. After telling him my story, he said he needed more information. Which I provided and then his response was that it was a local matter. I tried Raul again, but to no avail. I will never fly with them again.
