My family has a soccer tournament in Michigan next week. I booked a hotel for the family under my name. Now, my boss needs me to travel that weekend. Travelocity won't honor the reservation because I won't be there checking in, even though I've already paid for the rooms. They said thanks for paying, too bad for you. So my family is still going but paying a second time for a different location (I assure you not through travelocity) just because the first name on the reservation was different. It's ridiculous.
I have never experienced such horrible business practices in my whole life. How can a company stay in business that treats their customers with such disregard? I just don't get it.
Don't book with Travelocity, it's just not worth it. FYI if you call the hotel and tell them what Travelocity quoted you, often, they will give you the same rate with out all the ridiculous stipulations and lack of customer service.
