We rented the 'Hummingbird Retreat' villa in Watersong, Florida from Della Santhakumar and villa view rentals in April. It was described as having the wow factor with no expense spared. Unfortunately we found this was not the case. On arrival, bedding was dirty and lying on the floor, rubbish bins were full, the villa was dirty, the BBQ a health hazard and the pool lights not working!
The management company attended and cleaned the villa but we were left with no spare bedding. We were told the owner was aware of the problem with the pool lights but would not authorise repair so we could not use the pool at night for the duration of our holiday. The owner failed to respond to numerous emails and calls. I only received a cursory "we are looking into matters". Not once did they apologise or explain about the appauling conditions we were faced with on arrival!
This was to be a special last family holiday together and I spent months looking for the perfect villa.
