I should have reported this rip-off last year when it happened, but I didn't realize I could until now.
I was employed with NSI Business Solutions last March and was asked to pay $60/month to Traverus Travel, a travel agency. This was for them to maintain my website. I booked travel on my site and never received a commission as promised. I was required to pay this amount every month in order to work for NSI. I only paid it for 3 months and dropped out because I could no longer afford it and was not making any money.
The owner of NSI Hugh Elliott then asked me to go to a self-improvement conference in Washington D.C. For around $1200. I said no I could not afford it and then he let me go because I dropped out of Traverus and wouldn't go to the conference.
Shortly after getting home, the owner's assistant Tina Bruce called me and said I wasn't fired. She said if I didn't come back the next day taking back my position for half the amount of hours I usually worked each week, then I technically quit. She wasn't even present when Hugh let me go. I did not fall for the trap and collected unemployment until finding another job.
I wanted to tell my story to try to prevent other future employees of NSI Business Solutions and clients from getting caught up in this scam.
NSI also claims to help you with your credit (credit repair) which is also a scam. I worked there first hand and saw this going on but did not participate. I hope someone can investigate this fraudulant company soon to STOP them from taking advantage of good people!
