I recieved a Notice of Toll Evasion in the mail. I clearly remember the date of the infraction. When I pulled up to the automated toll both and put my 3 dollars in quarters in the hopper, I didn't get the green light. I got out of my truck and saw that there were a ton of coins lodged in the hopper. I tried to use an ink pen and my fingers to dislodge them but there were to many coins and I was unsuccessful. I had no choice but to continue on my way and figured that if there were that many coins lodged in the hopper then South Bay Expressway would acknowledge the fact that there was a mechanical problem with there equipment and not try to charge everyone who had the misfortune of going through that toll gate. There are cameras at the toll gate and a review of the tape would clearly show that there was a problem. I guess since they've filed for bankruptcy that they need al;l the money they can get... Even if it means issueing fraudulent evasion notices. I'm fighting this, but it irks me to no end that I have to take my time to proove them wrong when they already know it.
