Beware of scam from TS Luxury Group

I bought a timeshare at a resort in Wisconsin back in 2001. Paid around $5500 for points that renew every other year. I've been trying to sell this timeshare for over a year now at a much discounted price over what I paid for it. Haven't had even a single offer or inquiry on it until about 2 or 3 weeks ago when I got a call, seemingly out of the blue, from TS Luxury Group. I spoke with a guy going by the name Mike Davis. Said he was a sales manager there and said he may have an interested buyer if I was looking to sell my timeshare. I said I was still interested in selling, so I gave him the number of points I had on my timeshare and what my annual fees were that are associated with this property. He said he was going to run it by his "buyer" and call me back.
1-2 hours later, "Mike" called me back and said his "buyer" was interested. He told me my property was worth $16,000. Hmm... You know the old saying. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." Mike said he had some paperwork to send me for me to go over. I gave him my address, which is public information, but no other personal info.
The dollar amount quoted really set off my scam alarm, but I wanted to review this alleged paperwork.in 8 years my timeshare tripled in value? When I've been trying unsuccessfully for over a year to sell it for half what I paid for it. The klaxxon was ringing loud and clear. Stay away! Then came the kicker.
"Mike" said that in order to get the ball rolling, I needed to setup some kind of account for the "insurance company" to use as some kind of escrow or some such before the funds could be transferred to me via Cashier's Check. Honk! Honk! The red flags are really flying now!"Mike" says I need to put 10% of the total of the sale price plus closing costs (the total of which he said would be $17,600) into this account, so he needed a credit card to which he could charge $1760. At that point, I hung up the phone. The B.S. Was just getting too thick. He seriously expected me to just hand over my credit card info and approve a charge of $1760 to a company I had never heard of prior to an unsolicited phone call from some start-up over 1000 miles away? After doing some digging online, the only information I could find anywhere about "TS Luxury Group" was a press release dated only 1 week prior announcing the formation of this company.
After that, "Mike" tried repeated calling me from both his cell number, which is: 561-721-1986, and his office number which I don't have handy at the moment. He was calling me 9 times a day. I simply didn't answer the phone any more. He kept calling for 2 weeks. I filed a complaint with the BBB a week or two ago. I see they have an entry listed now on the BBB website with a C - rating, but they don't have my complaint listed yet. The paperwork that "Mike" said he was sending never arrived. Big surprise...
I haven't gotten any more calls in the last week or so. I guess they finally gave up. Smells strongly of a fly-by-night scam operation to me, so a strong warning to anyone reading this to stay away and do NOT give them any personal account info!
