On March 24, I got online to make some reservations for my elderly parents, my sister and her daughter. My parents wanted to go to Las Vegas and I got them a good deal throug hotwire. They e-mailed me a confirmation with the itineary of the scheduled flights. All the information was given to them including credit card, phone numbers and fax numbers. Their flight was confirmed to leave on Wednesday June 4 at 3:55 PM from San Antonio, Texas going on Delta Flight 1705 with connecting flight to Salt Lake City arriving at 5:47 PM and then nonstop to Las Vegas, Nevada Departing at 6:45 PM Salt Lake City Intl. Airport to arrive at 7:10 PM Las Vegas McCarran Intl. Airport.
My sister called to confirm their sitting arrangments on May 8 and was faxed her confirmation with the original flight time.
On June 4, they get to San Antonio Airport and they find out that their flight was missed. They told her that their flight was changed to leave at 8:35 AM. My elderly parents were very depressed and shocked to hear that they had missed their flight. No nodification was given to them. My sister calls me and tells me the cituation therefore, I called hotwire and I spoke to Judy B. (she was not allowed to give last name) and very rudely told me that notice of rescheduling was e-mailed to me only once on April 27. I never got this e-mail. That week I had an emergency trip and was not at work. Hotwire never tried to fax or call no one else.
The complaint is, that m
y senior citizen parents were charged $764.00 and their flight was changed to an earlier flight without any notification. They had to book another flight that day and pay more.
I have copies of all the confirmations, flight, itinary and even the e-mail that I got from by trash bin which was dated 4/27/03.
