Com, Expedia Expedia agents misinform TWICE and "All inclusive" vacation turns out not to be

When I decided to book my vacation to Jamaica for my family, I went where I usually go to search for a good price on a vacation package... Expedia.com. However, after misinformation, incompetence, and rudeness that scarred my vacation... I'm sure this will be the last time I use this company.

It started out as a simple search for an "All Inclusive" resort. When I found a great price to a great resort, I thought it was too good to be true and called Expedia just to get confirmation before I book the vacation. After a long hold where the representative "supposedly" called the hotel to confirm that the rate did include the all inclusive option, I WAS TOLD THAT IT DID. A few days before the trip, I was uneasy and decided to call Expedia again and REconfirm that it was indeed all inclusive. After an almost identical phone call from the last, I was told (ONCE AGAIN) I could go on to Jamaica and enjoy my vacation... It was indeed an all inclusive plan.

You all know how this ends. On my last day at the resort I have an invoice slipped under my door with a hefty bill for all of our meals. When I called Expedia from Jamaica to resolve the issue, they disconnected me 3 times and finally told me there was nothing they could do and I needed to file a complaint with them when I returned to the US. I filed the complaint and after processing I get an email stating exactly what I wanted to know PRIOR to my vacation... The package I selected was not all inclusive and a refund could not be processed.

I truly thought that once I filed the complaint, Expedia would listen to the recordings of my conversation with their idiot reps and I would be vindicated. Obviously I was wrong. The best part was that when I went to pay the invoice, the hotel agent rolled her eyes when I told her my problem with Expedia and went on to explain to me how this had happened many times before at the hotel with the same company! In fact she had had a woman a couple of hours before me arguing for over two hours over the same exact situation with Expedia!

Expedia must go down. I sincerely urge anyone who has had this problem with them to come forward. Let file a class action suit on them. It wouldn't be the first they have to deal with, so obviously they're a corrupt company. I only wish I searched for that information BEFORE I booked my vacation with them!
